Capital Dredging

Gulf Cobla contributes to the development and maintenance of ports, navigation channels, rivers, and other waterways in the region. With a diverse fleet of specialized vessels, we have the skills and equipment to meet and exceed our clients' demands, safely and on time.

Whether the task is developing, deepening, or maintaining new berths, terminals, fairways, or canals, we have the equipment and technical capability to take it on. That capability, paired with our overall adaptability, has built an unparalleled track record of successfully completed Capital and Maintenance Dredging projects across the wider Middle East.

Long-Standing Experience Meets Cutting-Edge Technology

Our experience in Capital and Maintenance Dredging dates back to 1977. We continuously acquire new technology, knowledge, and competencies to meet and exceed the strict requirements our clients set for us.

Our fleet carries environmental control equipment to help limit the impact of dredging operations, keeping each project efficient in cost, process, and construction quality.

A Powerful and Reliable Dredging Fleet

Gulf Cobla operates a wide range of cutter suction dredgers for all types of marine operations. Our specially designed vessels are capable of carrying out even the most demanding marine projects, particularly suited to coastal protection, land reclamation, and the capital and maintenance dredging of ports and waterways.

Beyond standard dredging, we undertake specialized operations such as pipeline trenches for intake and outfalls, cable trenches for power infrastructure, and seabed preparation in connection with offshore cable, pipeline, and reinstatement projects.

Precision Placement, Built In

Our vessels are equipped with advanced technology and can deliver sand and other materials in several ways: pumped ashore through floating or submerged pipelines, or discharged directly onto the beach using the rainbowing method. With our split hopper barge, we can ensure precise placement of material close to shore or at designated offshore locations.

We operate a fleet uniquely tailored for trenching and other seabed preparation and reinstatement works, combining modern techniques and advanced equipment to deliver a wide range of near shore projects.
